As the son of an Air Force Officer, I spent the first 18 years of my life moving around quite a bit. From these experiences I learned how to be a good listener, make friends easily, live outside my comfort zone and see that we are all part of the human family. Since elementary school, I've been the type of person people would often say, "I've never told anyone else this about myself, but..." From there I was guided to the field of Marriage & Family Therapy after receiving the charge to "Strengthen the Family."

I graduated from Ricks College and BYU in Family Science and St. Mary's University in Marriage & Family Therapy. I have practiced in Utah since 1996 and come to love the culture and people.

I have worked with a variety of populations throughout my career including: Rape Crisis, Critical Incident Stress Debriefings (In Office Trauma Recovery), Youth Substance Abuse, as well as, Marriage and Family Therapy in Private Practice since 1999.

On a personal note, I was the child of divorced parents/blended family; adopted my first daughter from birth; lost my first spouse to cancer; found happiness again through remarriage to an amazing widow, and now have a blended family of my own with four children.

I find great joy spending time with the family boating, going to the kids' activities and events, and finding the time to road cycle (except when I got hit by a car, 'cause that was no fun!).

Working from a home office with my wife has been a dream come true... and my wife's dream because she can have me work on the Honey-Do List when I'm not seeing clients!
